In May 2019, AmmanNet was launched as a massive platform, merging dozens of sub-sites into one comprehensive website. The Community Media Network signed a development agreement with Sprintive, specializing in website design and development.
According to Managing Director Mohammad Abdul Qader, the company "consolidated 16 years' worth of AmmanNet’s archives, including articles, investigations, audio interviews, and videos, from more than 16 projects executed by Radio Al-Balad, a division of the Community Media Network. This integration offers an enhanced digital experience, optimized for all mobile devices and browsers."
Radio Al-Balad's Editor-in-Chief and AmmanNet’s Head Editor, Mohammad Al-Arsan, added, "The new platform will also mark a content revamp. Over the years, AmmanNet has stood out with its exclusive original content, in-depth reports, and investigative journalism, produced by a team of journalists and contributors. The new site will also benefit from Radio Al-Balad's output, enriching the platform further."
AmmanNet was the first Jordanian electronic news platform, launched in 2000 under the domain ammannet.net, and has since been a leading source of information and journalistic interaction with Jordanians both inside and outside the country.
Sprintive, which began operations in 2016, focuses on developing advanced websites, leveraging the expertise of its founder Mohammad Abdul Qader in building large media and university websites, including Georgetown University and the American University in Egypt.
